Our Water Removal Process
Water removal is different from restoration, you can’t restore an area without removing the water first. Our water removal process follows these basic steps:
Stopping the Water Source
The first step in any water removal process is to stop the water source from causing any further damage.
Inspecting the Damages
Next, we’ll inspect the home or building for damages and come up with a game plan.
Contamination Evaluation
After determining the extent of the damage, we’ll determine the type of water contamination based on three water classifications.
Class One (Clean) – The water originates from a sanitary source such as a broken water supply line, overflowing tubs/sinks, and rainwater.
Class Two (Gray) – The water has significant contamination from sources such as toilet bowls, dishwashers, broken aquariums, and washer machines.
Class Three (Black) – This is the most contaminated water that contains pathogens, toxins, or other harmful agents that come from sewers, waste lines, and flooding rivers, oceans, etc.
Water Removal
After a thorough evaluation and determining the best course of action, we will start extracting water using our top-tier products and equipment.
Drying & Dehumidifying
Water damage introduces moisture to your home or business which can lead to mold, structural damage, and health issues due to poor air quality. Once water is removed from a flooded area, our techs use specialized, industrial-level dehumidifiers to exact every bit of moisture. Without professional-grade dehumidifiers and drying equipment, there’s no way to ensure that the room or affected area is completely dry.
Antimicrobial Application
This doesn’t happen in every case, but the next step is applying antimicrobial treatments to ensure a safe environment, depending on the contamination level.
Mitigate Future Damages
Our technicians are specially trained to help you mitigate water damage that may have occurred due to wet insulation. We do everything we can to get you back to a comfortable home such as salvaging your belongings, moving furniture, and whatever else you may need.
