Great work by the Boise Fire Department saving Bill the cat. #boise #billthecat #chimney #thisisboise #ctrcaresEngine 4 went on a CATastrophic 🐱 call this morning. The call was for a clumsy feline that apparently fell down a chimney and became trapped above the flue damper. Firefighter Brian was able to get his body up into the fireplace for the semi-technical rescue. He reached up past the damper, while another member of E4 partially closed the damper on his arm so he could grasp the terrified cat in his gloved hand. The crew then reopened the damper and Brian pulled “Bill the Cat” from the chimney to safety. What a PURRfect ending! Unfortunately we did not get a picture of Bill, he was hiding out recovering. ...
