Personal Property Cleaning

When a fire occurs, smoke can permeate the entire structure of a building and impact interior surfaces. In the event that high humidity and moisture combines with smoke, a corrosive residue can form that may cause secondary damage to the structure of your home and the contents within. CTR is prepared to quickly remove smoke residues and treat at-risk surfaces with a corrosion inhibitor that will help to protect these items. Examples of surfaces that are in danger of corrosion are: marble, stone, grout, aluminum, glass, fixtures, appliances and much more.

Depending on the scope of the loss, there are circumstances that require home and/or business content removal and relocation for proper and thorough cleaning and restoration. Ultrasonic Cleaning

Ultrasonic cleaning uses ultrasound (usually from 20–400 kHz) and an appropriate cleaning solvent to clean delicate items. The ultrasound can be used with just water, but use of a solvent appropriate for the item to be cleaned along with the soiling enhances the effect. Non-toxic ultrasonic cleaning bubbles eradicate even microscopic grime in the tiniest crevices, outperforming conventional hand scrubbing with harsh chemicals. Ultrasonic cleaners are used to clean many different types of objects, including jewelry, lenses and other optical parts, watches, dental and surgical instruments, tools, coins, fountain pens, golf clubs, window blinds, firearms, musical instruments, industrial parts and electronic equipment. They are used in many jewelry workshops, watchmakers' establishments, and electronic repair workshops. Non-toxic ultrasonic cleaning bubbles eradicate even microscopic grime in the tiniest crevices, outperforming conventional hand scrubbing with harsh chemicals.

CTR employs the Omega Pro 3600 XW which is the most versatile ultrasonic restoration system available on the market. With 3600 watts packed into an extra wide cleaning chamber, no restoration professional should be without one. Unit includes a dual cartridge filtration system with triggered spray. Ideal for both in-house and job site applications.

Book & Document Drying

When fire or water damage occurs, time is of the essence in restoring books and documents. Depending on the temperature and humidity, within 48 to 72 hours fungal growth begins, and after five days damp or wet paper records begin to chemically break down.

CTR utilizes two successful processes for document drying: air drying, a very labor intensive process that is most commonly used; and vacuum freezing, which uses “sublimation,” a process that turns a solid to a gas in one step. This method, although very efficient, can be costly and is used mainly in the restoration of irreplaceable documents.

Content Return (Move-Back Process)

After the structural construction and repairs are complete, your personal or business property is returned to your home or business using the same inventory procedures and documentation during the pack-out process. Your personal or business property is inventoried, properly packaged, loaded, transported and delivered with great caution and care.
