The Ignite Idaho Service Scholarship, sponsored by Cleanup & Total Restoration, recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their communities by serving both on the job and off. We are currently seeking nominations of individuals whose service merits recognition, but also are in need of addidtional finanical assistance for continuing eduction or post-secondary education. Please no self-nominations.
One $2500 scholarship will be awarded to an active career or volunteer firefighter, ambulance or rescue squad member employed by a city or county fire department and living in the state of Idaho.
The scholarship is payable to the school of the recipient's choice and is not restricted in any manner other than it must be used for school-affiliated expenses. This can be fees, tuition, books, or other related items. A recipient must apply this scholarship to the school of his/her choice within two years of the date awarded.
The panel of judges will review all nominations. Judges will be looking for a person that serves as a positive example to his or her peers, support his/her community beyond the call of duty and is actively trying to improve the community his/she lives in with service, compassion and integrity.
Nominations will be accepted beginning March 1, 2017. The award will be presented on August 15, 2017. Applications must be received by July 31, 2017.
